About Snake River Surface Repair

A message from the owner.

In 1999, along the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies, seeing a need in the home building industry for an alternative to material tear outs over minor surface damage on countertops, tile, flooring, vinyl windows, cabinets, banisters & railings, and eventually bathtubs, and the resulting waste of these building materials, I began researching repair products and developing processes and techniques for repairing these various surface materials and offering my services to homebuilders, homeowners, consumers and other businesses who wanted surface damage repaired instead of entire pieces of expensive finished building materials being torn out and replaced; conserving resources and reducing waste.

As new building materials and repair products have advanced, I've continued researching these materials and developing procedures to keep up with the ongoing and inevitable march toward change.

While 2020 brought its challenges, it also brought opportunities.  My wife and I being native-born Idahoans, and after having spent 26 years raising our family, working, and playing in colorful Colorado, and yet always wanting to return home “someday,” the disruption of 2020 made it possible for us to pause and begin the process of winding up business in the Centennial State and to return to our permanent domicile here.

As of July 8, 2021, I’m excited to offer our premier Surface Repairâ„  services for bathtubs, countertops, wood, tile, and vinyl to our home community in east Idaho.

I aim to bring and maintain excellence in the repair industry by providing exceptional quality workmanship and outstanding customer service at competitive rates.

Our Basic Process

Using high strength, professional-grade epoxies and resins, durable and color-matched coatings, along with having the skills and the talent to apply it all, Snake River Surface Repair can repair most chips, voids, cracks, scratches, blemishes, and defects on a wide variety of hard surface materials, while matching the existing colors, patterns, grains, textures, and sheens, saving you time and money over the cost of complete refinishing or total replacement, while conserving natural resources and saving space in our landfills.

Surface Preparation

The area to be repaired is thoroughly prepped and cleaned to ensure proper adhesion of surface repairâ„  materials.

Epoxy filler mixed and ready to be applied to the repair site.

Epoxy & Resin

Chips, nicks, cracks, voids, and gouges are filled using various high strength epoxies, and/or reinforced using fiberglass & resins, then sanded and shaped to match the contour of the surface material being repaired.

Color Coating

High quality color coatings are applied to match the existing colors, contrasts, shades and tones including, without limitation, patterns, wood grain, knots, dots and speckles.

The Finishing
Touches

Depending on the repair, a clear coat is applied to protect the color coat, and to match the surface material's existing sheen.
